On 18th November we launched a new participatory initiative titled "Building Europe – Green Europe", inviting citizens from across Europe to share their vision for a more sustainable future. The aim was to determine what would make Europe greener and more sustainable.
This interactive Facebook campaign asked participants three key questions:
We displayed all the received comments in the Secur-city metaverse for participants to be able to explore the ideas on the future of a green Europe and the environmental improvements they would like to see in it. This digital environment displays comments for diverse voices, perspectives, and proposals from young people and citizens committed to building a cleaner, fairer, and more sustainable Europe.
The comments and their approach to environmental sustainability were varied, ranging from innovative renewable energy solutions to concrete proposals for transforming local communities into sustainable models.
Each comment represents a step towards the collective construction of the green future we all desire.
As part of this initiative, a parkour competition with interactive questions has been incorporated, offering a dynamic way to test knowledge and further engage participants with the theme of urban safety.
To broaden reach and participation, an audiovisual recording of the exhibition has been produced and will be shared across social media platforms, allowing more people to connect with and contribute to this important conversation about security and the city.
