FACE-TO-FACE Workshops and events
Throughout the year, the consortium had a number of successful events and workshops under the Metaversing project, studying ways to engage youth, empower youth, advocate for youth digital participation, promote innovation using the Metaverse, etc. The activities at each event created avenues for civic engagement and developed digital literacy among young participants across Europe. We aim to empower youth to advocate for the inclusive, sustainable future of Europe and promote the project's goals and our mission at local, regional, and international levels. The events included:
- Youth forums and networking events, providing opportunities for youth dialogue, promoting the European Youth Goals, and exchanging ideas and partnership opportunities with other youth participants, experts, and stakeholders.
- Conferences on topics of youth, technology and civic engagement in the Metaverse.
- Workshops focused on practical skill development, led by experts, aimed at teaching collaborative learning and providing hands-on experience with new digital tools in virtual settings and innovative forms of participation.
- Interactive sessions and panel discussions on topics such as digital transformation, inclusion, and how youths are involved in shaping civic space in the Metaverse.
(24-11-2025)-(25-11-2025) Metaversing in Romania ("Security City")

Venue: Colegiul National Mihai Viteazul and Complexul Educational Laude-Reut in Bucharest, Romania
Participants: 55 young people from Romania
On the 24th and 25th of November, Asociatia DIRECT hosted two workshops exploring the idea of a "Security City", a place where safety and sustainability come together to support people and innovation. The workshops took place at Colegiul National Mihai Viteazul and Complexul Educational Laude-Reut.
Around 55 young participants joined in, turning their ideas into drawings, presentations, and even small mockups. They shared thoughts on accessible security, smart technology, better emergency services, greener public spaces, renewable energy, and circular economy solutions.
(10-11-2025) Metaversing Forum in Kosovo (Promoting European Youth Goals)

Venue: Kadri Zeka University in Gnjilane, Kosovo
Participants: Students and Teachers of the University
On November 10th, we had the opportunity to share and discuss the 11 youth goals with the students and teachers of the University in Kosovo by showing that youth priorities like inclusion, mental health, quality education, participation, and sustainability are universal.
Even outside the EU, these goals open space for dialogue, exchange, and cooperation. They encourage young people to reflect on their role in society and connect with shared European values by proving that youth engagement doesn't stop at borders.
(07-11-2025) Metaversing in Malmö
Date: 7 November 2025
Venue: Malmö City Hall, Malmö, Sweden
Participants: 35 secondary school students
VAEV hosted the Metaversing presentation at Malmö City Hall for secondary school students. The session allowed participants to be introduced to the Metaverse and new emerging digital technologies in a manner that stimulated them to explore new forms of digital creativity and innovation.
The event created an interactive learning environment in which young people showed keen interest and willingness to cooperate with each other. It was an excellent opportunity to familiarize young people with future-oriented digital means and to raise interest in technology-driven innovation.
(18/19-10-2025) Training on European Policies: Digital Transformation, Employment and Green Transition
Date: 18/19 October 2025
Venue: Lixus Heritage Interpretation Centre, Larache, Morocco
Participants: 16 young people from Morocco and Europe
A series of workshops were conducted in Larache, Morocco, in cooperation with the association Bayt Al Moubdie. The activities brought young participants from Morocco and Europe together, creating a space for exchanges on social, political, and digital issues. The encounter focused on comparing perspectives across cultures and strengthening cross-border cooperation.
Participants were introduced to the Metaverse, exploring how immersive technologies and virtual reality tools can support new forms of learning and collaboration. Young people engaged in discussions on digitalisation, environmental sustainability, employment and innovation, while also gaining insights into policy frameworks and peer-to-peer learning methods.
The event provided a unique opportunity to test innovative digital tools in an intercultural setting, demonstrating how emerging technologies can enhance dialogue and engagement among young people.
(20-07-2025) Bridging Generations Together in Common Experiences

Venue: Winsen Circus tent, Winsen, Germany
Participants: 45 people from all ages
On July 20th 2025, Systeme in Bewegung e.V. held a festival engaging people from all ages that combined experiential workshops such as dance, juggling, singing and aerial acrobatics, as well as thematic information points and collaborative crafting. The day concluded with a joint stage performance involving participants.
In an ever-changing digital world, we are losing opportunities for movement-based learning and shared experiences between generations. The festival aimed to demonstrate how much power and joy exists in intergenerational exchange. During the event the existing gap between the EU principles and the need for concrete community-level action in this field was addressed.
The festival was designed to break down divisions based on age, promote dialogue, and offer shared experiences; a call that is in line with the EESC's appeal for a Green Paper on intergenerational solidarity and its recognition of the important role played by civil society organisations. Particular importance was placed on accessibility and participation of those with fewer opportunities.
(03-07-2025) LinguiFun Workshop

Participants: 32 teachers
On July 3rd, 2025 VAEV Research and Development Agency organized an event for the Metaversing project through the LinguiFun workshop with teachers in Vienna, Austria. The teachers had the chance to learn more about the Metaversing project mission, core goals, and potential of the project for the future of education.
Moreover the potential of virtual environments in the field of education was discussed. Through demonstrations and engaging discussions, educators found ways to merge metaverse-based tools in their classrooms, opening up an exciting discussion about the future of education.
(17-06-2025) EU Youth Priorities Workshop – Campo nell'Elba
Date: 17 June 2025
Venue: Public Library, Campo nell'Elba, Italy
Participants: 30 children under 14 + 1 youth worker
Duration: 2.5 hours
In the framework of the Metaversing project, our colleague Linc scs - Lavorare insieme nella comunità organized activity in Public Library. The activity was organised as part of the after-school and study room service that LINC manages in the local Public Library during until the start of the summer camp.
European Youth Goals addressed by the activity were:
- 3. Inclusive Societies
- 5. Mental Health & Wellbeing
The activity aimed to work on young people's transversal skills necessary for their emotional well-being and to promote more welcoming and inclusive behaviour towards all cultures and diversities.
The workshop was divided into two parts:
- emotional literacy - knowing how to read, identify and manage emotions. There was a group brainstorming session on known emotions; then in pairs a grid was constructed on emotions by identifying physical thoughts-actions-signals then discussed in plenary;
- relational skills - they focused on analysing the concepts of active listening and empathy through a creative activity of constructing artefacts and a plenary reflection; then, starting from the critical situations that young people experience when meeting other people, particularly those of conflict, through simulations and role playing we reflected together on the inclusive and exclusionary behaviours to put into practice and how to effectively manage conflict.
The workshop helped to build stronger emotional and social skills — and encouraged kindness and respect for everyone.
(21-05-2025) Metaversing Forum in Albania (Promoting European Youth Goals)

The Business Faculty of the University "Aleksandër Moisiu" hosted the Metaversing Forum focused on promoting the European Youth Goals in Durrës, Albania, on May 21st 2025. The Forum was organized by Euforall Serbia (Niš, Serbia) with AIFED.
The following points were addressed:
- Presentation of Metaversing project
- Importance of youth participation
- Framework of the EU Youth strategy
- Relevance of the goal for the welcoming country
- The significance of digital platforms to supporting and empowering young people
- Opportunities for youth to contribute both locally and internationally
- Inspiring examples of Erasmus+ Youth Projects that illustrate good practice and successful youth-led initiatives
This event reunited students, youth workers, professors and partners of the project from across Europe to explore the European youth goals and their meaning in youths' life, for them to explore new ways of involvement, especially through digitalization.
(20-05-2025) Metaversing Forum in Montenegro (Promoting European Youth Goals)

The Metaversing Forum took place, organized by Euforall Serbia (Niš, Serbia) and AIFED as the key event in support of the 11 European Youth Goals through dialogue, digital innovation, and cross-border youth work. The Metaversing Forum brought together youth workers, professors, students, and educators from across Europe to explore the active involvement of youth in shaping the future - particularly through digital transformation and civic innovation.
Key highlights of the forum:
- Presentation of the European Youth Strategy and the 11 European Youth Goals
- Key priorities for young people in Europe
- Digital youth participation and innovation: opportunities for civic engagement in the Metaverse
- Digital transformation and youth empowerment
- Interactive dialogue with participants reflecting on local relevance and implementation
- Sharing Erasmus+ youth stories and successful practices
All participants actively engaged in youth dialogue through open-floor discussions, questions, and group reflections on the local relevance of the Youth Goals.
